Behold the fabled Lamb.
The fourth seal is open.

I heard the voice of the fourth living creature say, ‘Come and see.’
Come and see.
I looked and behold, the great ashen horse.
And the name cast upon him was Death.
And hell followed with him.
Last of the legend riders.
Peeling back the sky with bleeding iron.

Verse 1B
Pale Rider. With the eyes of the devil.
They were given power, fourth of the Earth.
To kill with sword, famine, and pestilence and wild beasts.

Verse 1C
Behind that horseman a great mouth of darkness.
The cosmic mouth of the hell that awaits the final purging of man.

Chorus
I saw him ride out, the last of the four.
His brothers victory, and pestilence and war.
The mighty horses pounding forward.
Breathing out eternal blizzard.
Snorting out in brimstone with the haunted eyes of fire.
The Great Pale Rider.
And he spoke to me.

Do you feel death?
Do you feel that dark abyss?
Walking across all the brilliant designs,
The testing of your flesh and the strength of your spine.
Cryptic messages of life paid for with my blood.

Pale Rider. With the eyes of the devil.
At the mouth of hell I stood judgment,
For the times I died, and walked with the ghosts.
But I would not go.

Would not go with the lost.
Would not submit to the hell I have known.
The rider’s passing I never feared.

I earned my life through blessings of war.

I never failed. I never bowed.
I will die with promise.
I will die with honor.
I will die will like a man.

And so the rider made way for my grave.
As the dirt fell over me, he gave me the peace I had made.
In that all consuming waste.
